However you arrive, you're welcome exactly as you are.
Every woman who comes to Breathe & Bloom arrives with different experiences, different abilities and different reasons for being here. You might be looking to feel more comfortable in your changing body during a transition like pregnancy or menopause, looking to move with more confidence, or simply need an hour that's just for you.
And with whatever you have going on, it's not your job to fit the class. It's my job to help you find a version of the practice that works for you.
You'll always be encouraged to move at your own pace, listen to your body and take what you need from our time together. There is no pressure to keep up, push through discomfort or perform in any particular way. After all, there's no such thing as doing yoga 'properly'.
Whether you come for the movement, the relaxation, the community or simply a chance to pause for a while, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.
Hi, I’m Steph
I originally trained as a hypnobirthing teacher because I could see how often women were expected to navigate huge life changes without the support they deserved. Over time that work expanded into pregnancy yoga, mum and baby yoga, the iconic but sadly short lived New Mums Nap Clubâ„¢ and eventually the wider range of classes I teach today. While the classes themselves have changed, the reason behind them hasn't.
I've never been particularly interested in yoga as a way to change our bodies. I'm much more interested in how it can help us feel more comfortable in them. Whether you're preparing for birth, navigating a transition like menopause, looking to maintain confidence as you age, or simply need an hour that's just for you, my classes offer you a chance to slow down, tune in and meet yourself where you are.
My aim is simple: to create a space where everyone feels comfortable and supported. A space where you can move at your own pace, take what you need from the practice and leave feeling a bit better than when you arrived.
(If you're looking for hypnobirthing support, I still teach that too and you can find out more here.)
Thoughts on my classes…
"Attending Steph's pregnancy yoga classes has been the highlight of my week! Set in a lovely cosy studio, Steph has created a safe and tranquil space, where it's been lovely to meet other supportive women. The yoga has been gentle enough to keep me comfortable and in tune with my ever changing body, but still keeps me moving, and has helped to relieve discomfort and tension."
